Michael is also author of "The Penguin Guide to Andalucía", "Tales From My Andalucían Village" and food articles for “The Daily Telegraph".

A senior honorary research fellow in the Hispanics Department of Glasgow University, and an honorary member of various Spanish gastronomic societies, Michael has just published an account of a journey across the Andes.
