Vivien is a professional actress who was nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the BBC's The Moonstone.

Vivien has vast experience of acting in Shakespeare, including Olivia in Twelfth Night and Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

She acted opposite Sir Derek Jacobi in Richard III, and, on the big screen, appeared with Michael Caine in Kidnapped.

In 2007 Vivien was elected an Honorary Fellow of the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford (part of the University of Birmingham).
