Established in 1958, ACE Study Tours is the country's most experienced operator of cultural travel in the United Kingdom, Europe and across the globe. Every year ACE offers over 200 different itineraries, from one-day courses to extended study tours, covering every facet of the arts, from music to archaeology and from natural history to architecture. Each of our tours is designed to educate and to entertain and each combines three essential elements: interesting subjects, exciting destinations and stimulating leaders.

Responsible Tourism
 A founding principle of ACE is that tours should benefit both the traveller and our host communities. We fund cultural and educational projects in the regions we visit and support local businesses where possible. ACE is a member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators. AITO represents some of the best specialist travel companies and ACE is proud to have been awarded the highest level, 3-Star rating for Responsible Tourism.

Our Tours
Our courses are characterised by their originality and their diversity: from a study of Shakespeare to a celebration of English Song; from a review of the life and times of Elgar to the teachings of the Buddha; from the legacy of the Dukes of Normandy to the paintings of Caravaggio, Monet, Picasso.

Our Lecturers
All our tours are led by specialist and experienced course directors (lecturers), chosen for their individual expertise and their ability to communicate, who are encouraged to contribute their own distinctive style and personality. Our website includes biographies of all lecturers.

Our Participants
Participants need no previous qualifications or experience to enjoy an ACE course; all that is required is a curiosity in the subject concerned! Most groups have between 15 and 25 participants and the majority of our tours are accompanied by a tour manager who assists with practical arrangements.
