Cultural tours for the discerning traveller

ACE STUDY TOURS, based in Cambridge, England, and founded in 1958, is one of the world's most experienced operators of cultural travel, offering courses and cruises in the United Kingdom, Europe and across the globe. Every year ACE pioneers over 150 programmes, from one-day courses to extended study tours and cultural cruises, covering every aspect of the arts - music, fine art, the theatre - as well as architecture, archaeology, history, gastronomy and the natural world. ACE's tours and cruises inform, educate and entertain in equal measure with a blend of cultural sight-seeing and explanatory talks - and all under the guidance of a stimulating course director. ACE's courses are characterised by their originality and diversity, and many feature exclusive visits, privileged access and private concerts.

FEBRUARY 2010 NEWS

In May 2010 ACE will run its first "low carbon" tour in conjunction with the RSPB - Wildlife and Walking in Extremadura.

Other new tours for 2010 include twin visits to the Oberammergau Passion Play and a celebratory viewing of the new Acropolis Museum in Athens.

Anniversaries feature prominently in 2010: Schubert in Schwarzenberg will honour the 200th birthday of Robert Schumann, while our music tour of Warsaw, Wroclaw and Duszniki Zdroj will celebrate the bicentenary of Chopin.

Our cultural cruise programme met with such success in 2009 that we have expanded our 2010 portfolio: The Spirit of Chartwell will convey participants along the Thames as we unravel the history of London and trace the life of Winston Churchill.

GUARANTEED: NO SURCHARGES

We guarantee that the cost of ACE's tours and cruises will not be subject to any surcharges, regardless of variations in the price of fuel or exchange rates.

Cultural Cruises

In 2010 ACE's small ship cruises - for between 15 to 40 participants - will visit Egypt, Provence, Greece and Turkey. We will also cruise around the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and along the Thames.

The modest size of our boats means that we are able to navigate shallow waters, visit secluded bays and moor at quays inaccessible to larger vessels.
